Inspire a girl’s future. Be a role model.
We are a proud host of a DiscoverE’s Engineers Week Event, “Introduce A Girl to Engineering Day” aka Girls Day. Girls Day is dedicated to bringing together school-aged girls and role models in an opportunity to learn about the various fields of engineering, develop confidence, and peak their interest in STEM. Girls will engage in a hands-on challenges and interact with Black and Brown Portland-based engineers.
For future women in STEM
Come and spend the day with the aspiring engineer in your life completing specifically designed tasks to encourage critical thinking. Meet like-minded youth in the community to foster group thinking and support, and talk to professional women in STEM to initiate mentorship, networking, and representation.
Solve challenges while making friends
Girl Day is also filled with guests, professionals in the community, and opportunities to make friends! Come and join 70+ youth and work on design challenges, enjoy a delicious meal from local restaurants, and win raffle prizes.
Girls Day is an annual event filled with discovery, exploration, and collaboration for girls who aspire to become women in STEM.
