Apply by January 18th to be a part of the Youth Design Winter 2023 Cohort

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Cultivating the next generation of STEAMED leaders and problems solvers with a  passion in design and justice for climate change and the environmental  impact on the Black and Brown community.

This winter cohort theme focuses on engaging young adults in climate justice education projects in partnership with Prescott Elementary School. Cohort participants will learn about environmental climate change and how that impacts the Black and Brown community. 

The conclusion of this cohort our students will present efficient examples in design and build of how local schools can be involved in climate change through design, leadership, positive inclusion and support from the local community. The students will demonstrate these skills and examples with The Climate Justice Directory project as well as complete design drawing with a lens for justice for Climate change related 2D/3D design integrated into Prescott Elementary Schools layout.
 

Upon completion of the cohort participants will receive a $250 stipend.

If you are interested, you are qualified! You don’t need to be an artist, or designer, just have PASSION to think about the communities that are built in Portland. Come join us to learn about design and architecture while getting paid. We need your voices in building our communities!

THE DETAILS

When: Tuesday January 24th through March 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Pacific Time
Where: Zoom (Link will be shared upon registration - you will just need a free Zoom account to participate)
Who: Black & Brown youth ages 14-20
How: Register below by January 18th, 2023
Compensation: $250 stipend upon completion
