VITAL VOICES PANELISTS

James Rewhald

James Rehwald is a digital media marketing specialist at Nike. Originally from Sacramento, California he resides in the Portland, Oregon area. Beyond his advertising work, he spends his time creating video content on TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. His videos are politically and socially-driven, often using comedic satire to expose the hypocrisies of our failed institutions and leaders. Drawing from his Filipino identity and learned experiences, he hopes to use his videos to promote racial, social, economic, and environmental justice for domestic and international causes.

Krystina Duval

Based in Portland but originally from Guam, Krystina Duvall is a Paid Social Lead at dentsu, a global advertising agency. She currently works on the Xbox account and has also planned & executed paid campaigns for clients like Patreon, Mercari, and 1-800 Contacts across all social platforms. She is passionate about female & BIPOC representation in the advertising field as it’s an important aspect of being able to create successful, inclusive campaigns that resonate with and accurately reflect diverse communities! When she’s not at work, you’ll catch her eating good food around PDX & hanging out with friends and her dog Buko.

Kiara Walls

Kiara Walls is a multi-disciplinary arts educator and restorative justice practitioner currently working out of Portland, OR. Her practice explores the relationship between trauma and repair as a pathway to healing. This work is manifested through a lens of reparation resulting in site-specific installations, conflict resolution and conversations. Walls currently serves as the Dean of Students at Northwest Academy where she combines her disciplines to navigate and cultivate community amongst students and teachers.

Jermaine | Rose Leon

Jermaine Ulinwa is a multifaceted artist also known as Rose Leon, he has been actively documenting events, milestones, and helping local small businesses in his community with branding. As an artist, he has had several exhibitions in galleries and has had his work published on platforms such as Willamette Week, The Chicago Times, Pexels, and VSCO.  Currently, he is an Associate Art Director for Adidas's Studio A.
